World Championship Sporting Event in Times Square

As the Official Lead Event Coordinator and Agency of Record, iVisit Media successfully executed the first-ever World Championship Sporting Event in Times Square on May 2, 2025, an unprecedented fusion of sport, culture, and urban spectacle.

This groundbreaking collaboration between The Ring Magazine, boxing’s most iconic name, and SNK’s Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, brought together elite combat sports and gaming culture in one of the most visible and dynamic public venues in the world. The experience featured KSI and iShowSpeed playing Fatal Fury live with gameplay streamed in real time on the Times Square screens. With over 300,000 attendees, the activation became a major component, adding energy and engagement to one of the most iconic sporting moments in New York City history.

Orchestrating a Full-Scale Takeover

To bring this ambitious vision to life, iVisit Media orchestrated a full-scale Times Square Takeover, coordinating closely with The City of New York and partners to activate four public plazas and manage complex logistics. From street-level brand activations to traffic coordination and crowd flow, every element of city engagement was handled with precision and professionalism.

Our team led every facet of the event, from large-scale production to strategic partnerships, licensing, and media amplification. With a complete buy-out of Times Square’s iconic digital billboards, iVisit Media transformed the city’s most recognisable landmark into an immersive, high-impact live broadcast arena. Aerial footage captured from drones showcased branded visuals and crowd engagement from every angle, reinforcing the global scale and cultural relevance of the event.

May 2nd received significant media attention, with widespread coverage across sports networks and livestreaming platforms, placing the spotlight on iVisit Media’s ability to turn a concept into a generational moment of spectacle and scale.

A Night of Champions

At the heart of the night was a five-fight card featuring some of boxing’s most electrifying talents:
Reito Tsutsumi vs. Levale Whittington – Tsutsumi victory
Joel Allen (NYPD) vs. James Gennari (FDNY) – Gennari victory
Teofimo Lopez vs. Arnold Barboza Jr. – Lopez victory
Devin Haney vs. Jose Carlos Ramirez – Haney victory
Ryan Garcia vs. Rolando Romero – Romero victory

This wasn’t just an event, it was a statement. iVisit Media redefined what is possible for live entertainment in public spaces, showcasing the power of creative coordination, strategic city planning, and cultural storytelling. History was made in Times Square and we made it happen.
